God's timing is not always our timing

August 1, 2005

Greetings all,

It’s with great disappointment that we notify you all of the postponement of our trip to Kaiserslautern, Germany. There where a number of factors contributing to this decision. Most notably was the shortfall in financial support, some family issues that needed to be addressed and our inability to work out some logistical issues at home. However, we understand God’s timing is perfect and if He did not meet all of these needs, we would not be obedient if we moved forward. In light of this, we chose to postpone. Even though this has been a difficult time, we are thankful for all we are learning about ourselves and what it takes to be prepared for the mission field. Thank you to all who have been praying for us and providing wise counsel. At the time of this writing, we do not have a new departure date or a destination. We have been communicating with Cadence’s home office to establish the next steps. We are so grateful for the response we have received and continue to receive. We will continue to raise support and solicit your prayers as we move forward to another assignment. As soon as we have more to communicate we will be providing an update. Until then, please pray for:

· Discerning God’s timetable in our going
· Discerning where God wants us to focus our attention and energy as we wait
· Not to be discouraged but to understand and recognize “God’s perfect and pleasing will”

In His Service,

The Beer Family
